Less than an hour ago, I received
these first images of the Limited Edition Planet Ocean that Omega SA is
releasing in conjunction with Casino Royale, the James
Bond 007 film that premiers in less than a month.
My
anonymous source tells me that a number of dealers already have these in
hand, directly and via fax copies. So don't anticipate that these images
will be "exclusive" here for long! Nonetheless, as with the
images that broke here identifying the Omega Planet Ocean worn by Daniel
Craig as James Bond 007 while filming Casino Royale last March,
I'm forced to "watermark" what you see here.

These
pictures are consistent with the numerous independent descriptions I've
received. Design is the ultimate in understatement, providing a
wonderful alternative to the bolder "James Bond" Seamaster 2226.80
Limited Edition released by Omega SA earlier this year. As a matter of
fact, aside from a custom "007" trademark gun barrel logo that defines
the sweep second-hand (see image below), this piece is virtually indistinguishable at a
glance from the standard model.
The caseback (shown here at right) is
dominated by the "Casino Royale 007" treatment associated with this
November 17, 2006, motion picture. About the circumference, "Limited
Series," the "Planet Ocean" model brand, and depth rating performance
are indicated. This image further confirms that this "Casino Royale"
Planet Ocean will be limited to 5,007 pieces.
For those of you who've been asking
for something more to have in hand when inquiring with Omega Authorized
Dealers, here it is!
