By trade
and compassion,
I am a domestic relations mediator in private
practice here in Southeast Michigan. I also consult, write, and train
nationally.
Basically,
that means I work with spouses and families to help them negotiate their
divorces, rather than take them to court, fighting things out,
litigating conflict.
Unlike most
professionals involved with folks in divorce, my work tends to let me see how things
play out over the longer term. It's not about theory with me; it's real
life, your life. So I created and continue to lead the first
and only weekly walk-in support group of its kind here as an adjunct to
my mediation and one-on-one life coaching work.
When asked, I
also present nationally and internationally to support group leaders,
and advise them on program development and best practices.
Many of my
clients continue to work with me on their "next relationships," looking
to leverage what they hope to have learned last time into making this
subsequent commitment both realistic and perpetuating.
I
currently host 2 divorce content websites, and I encourage you to
take a look at them if any of the following describes you.
