Here’s the center:
Apart from anything autobiographical faced for that site, I suppose the Christie’s auction house interview provides as good a summary as any on my connection with this content area.
Beyond that, here are a few of the places I’ve appeared ink-on-paper (given my history of belief in leveraging credibility of that medium):
- “James Bond Wore Quartz Wristwatches: You Noticed” Watch & Clock Bulletin (Journal of the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors), Vol 57/5, No 417: September / October 2015, p 426ff
- “The Time When James Bond Did Not Wear a Wristwatch” WristWatch Magazine, Issue 8: May 2014, p 54ff
- “Discovered: James Bond’s Rolex” WatchTime magazine: February 2009, p 84ff
This strikes me as an appropriate place to reference my two related, but separately focused websites.
- Branding Bond : where I post about “James Bond” marketing (reflexively) and as a marketing vehicle
- cue Goldfinger : where I write in pursuit of a thus far illusive objective standard for ranking 007 movies
There’s a life lesson I’ve come to have from this interest, now past half-a-century into it.
You have to come to pursuits such as this from a place of enjoyment and a commitment never to lose that. Part and parcel, your interest in sharing such a passion with others must be to encourage others along the same path.
If not, don’tâ.
