This is the name of the business started by Dodd Mohr and me in Washtenaw County Michigan on August 12, 1983.

Here are some highlights from the early days.

Between then and now, D² Enterprises began to diversify well-before our years in business couldn’t be counted on one hand. Our first foray was into industrial security, then trade shows, and finally extending to international commercial contracting. Somewhere in that milieu, I became “a Hoover Universal guy.”

All-but the first bits of that was just me, however.

On January 31, 1988 I bought-out all other interests and effectively became the business (or it, me, as the case may be). D² Enterprises has operated continuously since its inception. Successfully so, I believe — to this very day. “d2 Journal” (registered summer of 2022), in its context as umbrella, is effectively functions as  D² Enterprises.

Every once in a while, I’ll blog about D² Enterprises, which I suppose might be better classified as “my experience as an entrepreneur.” Either way, here’s where that content can be found.

The license plates on each of my Cadillacs currently read as some form of the D-squared name, albeit sans superscript, which is not an option in the state where I live.

Sorry about that, Dodd.
