The summer between freshman and sophomore years of high school, “Richard,” one of my best friends shared with me a pocket-sized comic book titled “Holy Joe.”
It’s part of a series I’ve come to call “Evangelism circa 1970s.” Each 24-page piece encourages and specifies the path to eternal salvation, which comes exclusively by way of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
See Chick Publications for an explanation of impact and value of “Cartoon Tracts.” Personally, I try to keep a folio handy at all times, kept stocked with twelve each morning, changed each Sunday morning.
If you’re new to all of this, I suggest starting with their 130-title “Tract Assortment” sample pack: Upon receipt, read each one for the style and content that best suits your doctrine and interests before stocking-up.
